Curriculum
At Heidelberg International School the Middle Years Programme is a five year course of study starting in Grade 6 (Year 1 of the MYP) and continuing through Grade 10 (Year 5 of the MYP). Students take a broad and balanced range of subjects, which are studied in each year of the Programme:

In each subject area teachers create units of study based on international standards that are presented using a conceptual approach. The MYP is an inquiry based programme of education and engages students mentally, physically and emotionally. The students are encouraged to acknowledge and accept responsibilities that will aid them in becoming successful not only in academic disciplines, but in all facets of life.
- Personal Project
Students in Grade 10 (Year 5 of the MYP) engage in the Personal Project. This is a challenging task, which requires the students to apply and demonstrate the knowledge and skills they have acquired as MYP students in their final year of the programme.
