Our Grade 8 scientists spent a day at BASF Teens’ Lab, diving into the Substance Labyrinth and hands-on stations that turned curiosity into data. Students tested appearance/odor, solubility, and density to identify unknowns, then explored flame colors under supervision-linking color to composition. They also investigated fermentation (yeast + warm water + substrates) and watched Styrofoam®/Neopor® beads foam on heating-chemistry in action! “Fascinating,” was the one-word verdict from the group-said with big smiles.
