This weekend, our Grade 10 students successfully completed their expedition, and we could not be prouder of the way they represented themselves, our school, and the Award programme.
According to the expedition assessors, this was one of the smoothest and most successful expeditions they have overseen in the past five years. Throughout the weekend, students demonstrated exceptional maturity, independence, and teamwork, making the experience both enjoyable and rewarding for everyone involved.
From the moment they set off, students showed a high level of self-sufficiency, navigating routes effectively, arriving at checkpoints on time, and taking responsibility for their own equipment and wellbeing. They worked collaboratively within their groups, supporting one another through challenges and ensuring that everyone contributed to the team's success.
What stood out most was the respect, kindness, and consideration shown towards fellow students, staff, and members of the public. Their positive attitude and willingness to help others reflected the values we strive to develop within our school community.
The expedition was not only about completing a challenge; it was also an opportunity for students to create lasting memories, strengthen friendships, and develop important life skills. Over the course of the weekend, they built resilience, improved their problem-solving abilities, and gained valuable outdoor experience that will benefit them well beyond the classroom.
Fortunately, the weather was on our side, allowing students to fully enjoy the experience and appreciate the beautiful surroundings. Most importantly, they embraced every aspect of the expedition with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure.
We would like to congratulate all of our Grade 10 students on their achievements. They should be incredibly proud of themselves, and their families should be equally proud of the way they conducted themselves throughout the expedition.
A special thank you goes to the parents and guardians who supported students during their preparation and training. Your encouragement played an important role in helping them reach this milestone.
Well done, Grade 10 we look forward to seeing where your next adventure takes you!
