Last weekend the Grade 10 Duke of Edinburgh’s students carried out their practice expedition.
The weather was perfect for camping out and hiking, but once the sun went down at night, it was still a little cold.
The students hiked with their backpacks full of their equipment through the Odenwald over three days and camped out at two different campsites where they enjoyed campfires and roasted marshmallows.
Despite some sore feet and muscles at the end, the students enjoyed being outdoors with the company of others.
Overall, a challenging and rewarding experience for the students.
