At our school, we believe that education extends far beyond the classroom. We strive to develop well-rounded, lifelong learners who are willing to challenge themselves, pursue their passions, and contribute positively to their communities.

Last week, our secondary school students came together for a special Celebratory Assembly, recognising and applauding the many achievements of our students throughout the year. The event provided an opportunity to reflect on the incredible accomplishments of our learners and to celebrate the dedication, perseverance, and enthusiasm they bring to every aspect of school life.

A number of students were recognised for their achievements in mathematics, including some top prizes in the Kangaroo Mathematics Competition and participation certificates in several other mathematics competitions. These accomplishments demonstrate not only academic excellence but also a willingness to engage with challenges beyond the regular curriculum.

We also celebrated success in language and communication. One student was awarded third prize in a German newspaper competition, while several others were recognised for having their articles published. These achievements highlight the creativity, communication skills, and commitment to excellence that our students continue to demonstrate.

Sporting achievement was another major focus of the assembly. Students received certificates for participating in a wide range of sporting competitions throughout the year. We were particularly proud to recognise the Girl’s MYP Volleyball team for their impressive second-place finish and the Diploma Boy’s Football Team for securing third place in their competition. These successes reflect the teamwork, determination, resilience, and sportsmanship that our students display both on and off the field.

One of the highlights of the assembly was celebrating 13 Grade 11 Diploma students who received their Silver Award. This is a significant accomplishment that represents more than a year's worth of commitment and perseverance. To achieve the award, students dedicated themselves to developing a skill, participating in physical activity, engaging in service to others, and successfully completing a three-day, two-night expedition. Their achievement reflects many of the qualities we seek to nurture in our students: resilience, responsibility, initiative, and a commitment to personal growth.

Our Model United Nations (MUN) delegates were also recognised for their participation in conferences in Arnhem and Stuttgart. Competing alongside students from schools around the world, our delegates represented the school with confidence, professionalism, and enthusiasm. Several students received Honourable Mentions and Best Delegate awards an outstanding achievement, particularly given the relatively small size of our delegation. Their success is a testament to the preparation, critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills they have developed through the programme.

What makes these achievements especially meaningful is the diversity of opportunities represented. Whether in academics, languages, sports, service, leadership, or international engagement, our students continue to demonstrate the qualities of lifelong learners. They are curious, resilient, reflective, and willing to step beyond their comfort zones to pursue excellence.

Congratulations to every student who received an award, certificate, or recognition during the assembly. We are incredibly proud of all that you have achieved this year. Your accomplishments are a reflection not only of your hard work and dedication but also of the supportive community that surrounds you.

As a school, we remain committed to providing opportunities that allow students to discover their strengths, develop new skills, and grow into confident, capable, and compassionate young people. We look forward to celebrating many more successes in the future.
