The first day of Year 7 was filled with excitement, new faces, and plenty of opportunities to begin building connections. Students were warmly welcomed by Frau Hardt, who introduced them to life at the school and helped set the tone for the year ahead.

Afterward, pupils spent some time with their class teachers, getting to know one another and beginning to feel at home in their new environment. The afternoon was spent outdoors at Schlachtensee, where Mr Lipton, Frau Kassel, and Frau Lück led engaging team-building activities. Laughter, collaboration, and fresh air made for a memorable start, and students quickly began forming bonds with their new classmates.

On day two, attention turned toward preparing for the challenges and opportunities of secondary school. Students took part in the “Hiking the High School” workshop, guided by Mr Kiely, our MKO, and Frau Vattes, the school psychologist. This thoughtful session encouraged students to reflect on what lies ahead, equipping them with strategies to navigate the journey through high school with confidence.

It was a fantastic start to Year 7 – a balance of fun, connection, and preparation – and we look forward to seeing this group grow and thrive in the months ahead.
