On Wednesday, March 18, our school had the pleasure of welcoming the Play Time theatre group, who presented the engaging and thought-provoking play Big Red.
This beautiful performance invited students to explore the world through different perspectives—particularly those of animals—and encouraged reflection on the values of empathy and open-mindedness. The story highlighted how collaboration and thoughtful decision-making can make a meaningful difference. With the help of some of our H.I.S. students, the main character was able to prevent the construction of roads that would have destroyed the natural habitat of many animals.
Our students were an exceptional audience. They participated enthusiastically throughout the performance, asked insightful questions afterward, and showed a genuine connection to the play’s message. It was truly rewarding to witness their curiosity and sensitivity toward such an important topic.
We are delighted to continue offering enriching performing arts experiences like this one. We encourage families to ask their children about the play—what they learned and which moments resonated most with them.
We look forward to many more inspiring experiences together!
