The second building on the new H.I.S. campus includes:
The ground floor classrooms open onto a central courtyard with a broad staircase leading to the terrace located on the flat roof of the gymnasium. All of the enclosed outdoor area is open to the students at break times.
The gymnasium is built into the ground to ensure that the courtyard and the classrooms on the ground floor level are flooded with natural daylight.
In fact, we often hear comments on the light, bright and welcoming atmosphere within the whole school. This has been achieved through the inclusion of many windows and additional glass surfaces throughout the school and through a co-ordinated colour-concept for the classrooms, hallways and furnishings.
